More thanORGANIC
Monte Fasolo and Le Volpi are situated in the heart of the Euganean Hills, in the provinces of Padua and Vicenza, just a few kilometres from Venice, in a magical unspoilt area that has much to offer. The area, full of history and unique landscapes, is evocative and enticing, with a multitude of experiences offered to Italian and foreign visitors who choose it as their destination throughout the year.
The Euganean Hills are a naturalistic “island” protected by the Regional Park. The land offers precious fruits in all seasons: delicious wild berries, cherries, strawberries, blackberries, jujubes, pomegranates, figs, delicate wild herbs, grapes and the finest honey.
Here, we can find the “Strada dei Vini dei Colli Euganei (Wine Route of the Euganean Hills), a gourmet paradise where local wines and traditions blend with the best seasonal produce from gardens, fields, courtyards and vineyards.
The story that unites Le Volpi and Monte Fasolo with vines and olive trees began with the best that the hills have to offer and from the desire to enhance and preserve these excellent products. Nowadays, this union is so strong that it has led to the creation of unique products of unmistakable quality.
Our products
The story of a long-standing bondbetween man and a unique territory
THE WINE OF THEEUGANEAN HILLS
Our wines excel in Italian and international competitions, making the great potential of our terroir known to everyone. Le Volpi wines have been organic since 2013 and vegan since 2016. Monte Fasolo wines are currently under conversion, i.e. they are already treated in an entirely organic way and will obtain organic certification at the 2022 harvest.
GRAPPA
Our Grappa is made from pure grape pomace obtained using the discontinuous direct steam system, with copper pots, by Distilleria F.lli Brunello Srl at its Montegalda (Vicenza) plant.
THE OIL OF THEEUGANEAN HILLS
Superior quality olive oil obtained directly from olives using only mechanical processes.
Our farms produce high quality wine and extra virgin olive oil. They are currently one of the most interesting novelties of the local food and wine offer: tradition and innovation come together to give rise to products of the highest quality, inspired by what the land has to offer.
The Euganean Hills, often referred to as ‘rocks in the sea’, are proudly situated in the eastern heart of the Po Valley plain. These hills were formed by a succession of various volcanic events some 35 million years ago. The destiny of this land is closely linked to its tradition and, thanks to the passion and hard work of vine-dressers, the wines of the Euganean Hills are of very high quality.
These hills, almost a natural backdrop to the city of Venice, are a land of Moscato wines. First and foremost, the yellow wine known locally as “Fior d’Arancio”, which has found its perfect habitat in our hills.
The queen of the land is the vine, whereas the prince is the olive tree. Both these plants, which have always found the ideal conditions for thriving in these hills of the Veneto region, are tended by the patient and passionate hands of our farmers, who transform them into wine and oil. These vary in aroma, colour and taste but, above all, they preserve the rural tradition from which they come.
