We believe in sustainableagriculture
We are fully committed to sustainable agriculture in the Euganean Hills in order to protect the land, consumers, those who work with us and present and future generations.

We therefore choose and apply the most innovative viticultural and winemaking practices that respect the grapes, the soil and biodiversity. We set ourselves ambitious goals and impose even more stringent restrictions than those allowed by Italian organic farming regulations.
As a result of our commitment to organic agriculture focused on sustainability, over time we have obtained various certifications that guarantee the authenticity and quality of our products.
Our attention is not, however, confined to the vineyard. It follows us into the wine cellar, where, on the one hand, we carefully focus on the choice of materials for eco-friendly packaging and reducing our carbon footprint, while on the other hand we are committed to providing the best possible working conditions and ensuring a pluralistic presence. We also encourage gender equality and progress for young people while always striving to provide opportunities for economic growth in our local area by selecting local suppliers who share our principles.
In this respect, we would like to be an excellent company in winemaking, environmental and social terms.

ORGANIC PRODUCTION
We produce organic wine from organic grapes grown in our vineyards according to organic methods, without using synthetic chemicals or GMOs. We do not use chemical phytosanitary products, but only copper, sulphur and other extracts of natural origin, and in smaller quantities than the limits set by the organic protocol.

VEGAN PRODUCTION
Our wine is also a vegan wine. The production cycle involves no animal products, feed, ingredients, filters, membranes or other production aids. We only use products of plant origin such as potato starch and pea protein.

TRACEABLE PROCESSES
By complying with the traceability requirements of sustainable cultivation processes, we can proudly say that we are fully independent. We have a closed supply chain and all production stages, from pruning to bottling, are carried out on our premises.

RESPECT FOR A “NATURAL” PRODUCT
We preserve and protect the “natural” characteristics of wine. This allows us to use a filtration process that does not cause molecular breakdown and preserves intact the organoleptic properties of taste, aroma and colour of the wine. The crystalline residue at the bottom of the bottle is a guarantee of this process.

ABOLITION OF SCHEDULED TREATMENTS
Given our preference for the organic cultivation of vineyards, we do not use scheduled treatments but opt for a less standardised technique. Relying on our technical expert’s observations, we only use treatments if and where considered necessary.

USE OF INDUSTRY 4.0 MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGIES
Our commitment to organic viticulture can also be seen in innovative cleaning technologies, for which we only use mechanical equipment rather than chemicals, which are more widely used. We are experimenting with a new kind of robot in the vineyards: an Industry 4.0 machine that is self-driven, partly electric and able to treat vines with UV rays in order to avoid using harmful chemicals.

MICROBIOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENTS OF THE SOIL
Every year, we make microbiological improvements to the soil. As an organic vineyard cultivation technique, we sow various green manure crops: nitrogen-fixing plants such as broad beans and peas. To achieve this, we rely on the bio-district of the Euganean Hills, with which we are collaborating to understand which types of plants are best suited to our soils.

PROTECTING LOCAL FAUNA
Animal protection is an integral part of our organic farming activities. We safeguard our vineyards while fully respecting the local fauna, using procedures for releasing hormones that deceive animals and by installing nets that allow small animals to pass through.

PROTECTING AND ENHANCING THE LAND
We use a water storage basin and adopt the fertigation technique in order to protect the soil and prevent water wastage. We can therefore avoid crushing the soil with tractors and polluting it. As part of a complete enhancement process, we plan to keep 2/3 of the estate as woodland in order to preserve the existing characteristics of biodiversity.

BOTTLING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Our eco-sustainable wine production also includes bottling, storage and transport processes, resulting in our choice of lightweight bottles and Nomacord and cork stoppers.
